ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS

Our most reliable lift equipment, automation, and valued support services. SPS Inc. simplifies how you select, install, & maintain your wells, no matter the location.

Our high efficiency multistage (Impeller + Diffuser = 1 Stage) centrifugal pumps produce fluid in both low-and-high-volume (100 BPD minimum), pre-existing and new applications. SPS pumps consist of rotating impellers and stationary diffusers that can be assembled in either floater or compression configurations to meet the needs of our clients.

Advantages

The progression in ESP pumps' hydraulic design is allowing the industry the advantages of lower power requirements and repair costs.

In some cases, our clients have reduced operating costs by using SPS Inc.'s cost saving matrix utilizing smaller horsepower motors, smaller cables, and reduced power requirements on switchboards.

Our stages are made entirely of Ni-Resist for maximum resistance to corrosion and wear. We can apply an abrasive resistant coating to our stages if abrasives are in the produced fluid. The K-Monel pump shaft provides maximum protection from corrosion for longer, more dependable run life.

What Pump Do I Need?

Several factors are involved in determining what type of pump is needed.

  1. Casing size and weight
  2. Total Barrels of Fluid Per Day (BFPD)
  3. Fluid levels (Static & Producing)
  4. Amount of Gas (MCF)

Different Types of Stages

Type 1: Radial Flow. A flat stage and its vein structure is at 90 degree angles. This stage is commonly used for lower rates ranging from 100 BPD to 2,500 BPD.

Type 2: Mixed Flow. This stage has veins that are at angles between 45 to 60 degrees. This stage is used for rates ranging from 1,200 BPD to over 45,000 BPD.

Intake

When gas is not a concern, a bolt-on intake is used to allow the well fluid to feed into the pump. A Monel® screen is applied on the intake to prevent large well debris from entering the pump.

Rotary Gas Separator

Rotary gas separators are designed to separate free gas in the produced fluid by both gravity and centrifugal separation.

The result allows for the ESP to produce high density fluid through the tubing, while gas is produced up the annulus.
